Last updated: October 25, 2026Türkçe oku

1. Who this applies to#

This policy covers paid ByNiche plans sold at https://byniche.app. ByNiche is operated by By Code Software (Atıf Doğan Özcan) ("By Code Software", "we"). The Free plan costs nothing, so there's nothing to refund.

Payments are processed by our payment provider, currently Paddle, which acts as merchant of record: it sells the subscription to you, issues your invoice and carries out refunds. This policy describes what we commit to; the provider applies it, and its own buyer terms also apply to the transaction.

2. Our 14-day refund on your first payment#

If you subscribe to Pro (US$19 a month, or US$9.50 a month if you joined during the launch period) and change your mind, you can ask for a full refund within 14 days of your first payment for that subscription. You don't need to give a reason.

  • This applies to the first payment of a subscription, and the refund is the full amount you actually paid.
  • It applies once per customer. If you subscribe again after a refund, the new subscription isn't covered again, but your legal rights described below still apply.
  • When the refund is processed, your Pro access ends and your account returns to the Free plan. Your collections and notes stay in your account, subject to Free plan limits.

3. Cancelling#

You can cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings or through the payment provider's customer portal (linked from your receipt).

  • Cancelling stops future renewals.
  • You keep Pro access until the end of the billing period you already paid for.
  • If you subscribed at the launch price, it stays yours for as long as your subscription stays active without interruption. If you re-subscribe after a cancelled subscription has ended, you pay the price in effect at that time.
  • After that, your account moves to the Free plan. We don't delete your data because you cancel; you can delete your account separately at any time.

4. Renewals#

Renewal payments (the second month onwards) are not refundable, because you can cancel anytime before a renewal. If a renewal charged you by mistake, for example because you had cancelled but were still charged, or were charged twice, write to us and we'll fix it with a full refund of the incorrect charge.

5. Your legal right of withdrawal (EU, UK, Turkey and similar)#

If you are a consumer in the EU, the UK, Turkey or another country with a similar law, you have a legal right to withdraw from a distance contract within 14 days without giving a reason.

ByNiche is a digital service that starts immediately. At checkout you ask us to start providing the service right away and acknowledge that this affects your right of withdrawal:

  • EU and UK: if you withdraw within 14 days after asking for immediate access, the law allows the seller to charge for the part of the service already provided.
  • Turkey: under Article 15(1)(ğ) of the Distance Contracts Regulation, the right of withdrawal does not apply to services performed instantly in electronic form or intangible goods delivered instantly to the consumer, once performance has begun with the consumer's approval.

We go further than the law requires: for the first payment of a subscription we refund the full amount within 14 days, with no deduction for the days you used. This voluntary commitment doesn't limit any right you have under the law where you live.

6. How to ask for a refund#

Email hello@byniche.app from the address linked to your ByNiche account, or use the refund option in the payment provider's portal, within the 14-day period. Please include the email of your account and, if you have it, your order or receipt number.

You can also use this statement if you prefer: "I hereby withdraw from my contract for the ByNiche subscription ordered on [date]. Name, email address, date."

We confirm your request within 2 business days. Refunds are made by the payment provider to the original payment method, normally within 14 days of our confirmation. Your bank or card issuer may take a few extra days to show it.

7. Exceptions#

We may refuse a refund under this voluntary policy where an account was used in clear breach of our terms of service, for example to scrape or resell data, or where refunds are being abused. This never affects your statutory rights.

8. Contact#

hello@byniche.app, By Code Software (Atıf Doğan Özcan), Atatürk Mah. Turgut Reis Cad. No: 32 İç Kapı No: 6, Karesi / Balıkesir, Türkiye, phone [Telefon].
