How we rank the niches
Most lists of profitable niches sort by RPM alone. A high RPM is nice, but it doesn’t tell you whether a new channel can still break in. We rank by opportunity instead: how many channels started in the last 90 days are already getting more than 3 times the usual views of their niche. Breakouts count most, then the number of new channels. Niches with fewer than 5 tracked channels drop to the bottom, so one lucky channel can’t top the list.
How to read the table
Channels: how many target-market channels we track in the niche. Faceless: the share of those channels that never show a face on camera, a good sign the niche works with voiceover, stock footage or animation. Median monthly revenue: what the typical channel in the niche earns, estimated from its last 30 days of views and the niche’s RPM range. New breakouts: channels started in the last 90 days that already beat their niche by 3x, out of all new channels in that window.
Profitable isn’t the same as easy
A niche with high median revenue and almost no new breakouts is usually crowded with big, established channels. A niche where several newcomers broke out in the last three months tells you viewers are hungry and the algorithm is still recommending fresh faces. The sweet spot: a niche near the top of this list with solid median revenue and, if you don’t want to be on camera, a high faceless share.
What to do next
Pick two or three niches from the list and study the channels that broke out: their titles, thumbnails, video length and upload rhythm. In ByNiche, each row opens every channel in the niche with its outlier score, estimated revenue and best videos, so you can see exactly what’s working.
Where the numbers come from
ByNiche tracks thousands of YouTube channels publishing in English, German, French, Spanish and Turkish and rescans them every night. Each channel is sorted into one of 125 fine-grained niches by AI, flagged as faceless or not, and channels showing signs of bought views are filtered out. This page is an hourly summary of that data; every number in the list is computed from real channels.
Frequently asked questions
What is the most profitable niche on YouTube?
By RPM, finance, business and tech pay the most per view, often $5 to $20 per 1,000 views. But the most profitable niche for a new channel is one where newcomers are breaking out right now, and that’s exactly what this list ranks.
Are faceless niches profitable?
Yes. Many niches on this list are dominated by faceless channels, like history explainers, true crime and finance explained. The faceless column shows how common they are in each niche.
How often is the list updated?
We rescan our channels every night, and this page refreshes every hour.
What counts as a breakout channel?
A channel that started in the last 90 days and already gets more than 3 times the median views of its niche.
How much do faceless channels make?
The same way channels with a face do: views × RPM. What decides earnings is the niche and the views, not the face. The median monthly revenue column shows what a typical channel in that niche earns.
Am I too late for a niche on this list?
This list shows the opposite: channels started in the last 90 days are already breaking out in these niches. That means there’s still room for newcomers.
